CEO, FORMER QRL CHIEF & QUEENSLAND ORIGIN GREAT

Ben Ikin has spent most of his life in rugby league, becoming the youngest player ever to represent Queensland in State of Origin at just 18. Across 150 NRL games with the Gold Coast Seagulls, North Sydney Bears and Brisbane Broncos, he played 17 Origins for Queensland, two Tests for Australia and won the 2000 premiership with Brisbane.

After a decade in senior commercial roles and a successful media career hosting NRL 360 on Fox Sports, Ben led the Broncos’ football department and then served as CEO of the Queensland Rugby League from 2023 to 2026. Now CEO of Brisbane proptech company SearchX and still involved with the Maroons Foundation, he brings rare insight into leadership, culture, high performance and building organisations, in and beyond sport.
