Ben Ikin is currently the CEO of the Queensland Rugby League, having spent the best part of his life in the greatest game of all.
Ben's professional rugby league career kicked off in 1995 with the Gold Coast Seagulls, where he made history by becoming the youngest player to represent Queensland in State of Origin at just 18 years of age.
Throughout his playing career, Ikin also played with the North Sydney Bears and Brisbane Broncos, winning a Premiership with Brisbane in 2000.
After retiring from playing in 2004, Ben transitioned into sales roles across multiple industries, worked in the media for the Nine Network and Fox Sports, and sat on the boards of the North Queensland Cowboys, Family of League, and Queensland Rugby League.
In 2021, Ben joined the Brisbane Broncos as the GM of Football, then moved to the QRL in 2023.
As CEO of the QRL, Ikin brings a deep passion for the sport, his goal to make sure that rugby league remains the number one sporting code in Queensland.
Ben is married to Beth and together they have four children.
