Damien Cook is one of the NRL’s most respected and consistent performers, renowned for his speed out of dummy-half, elite fitness, and leadership on and off the field. A proud Helensburgh Tigers junior, Cook’s journey has been defined by persistence, professionalism, and sustained excellence at the highest level.
Making his NRL debut with the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2013, Cook returned home to the club in 2025, bringing with him over a decade of top-tier experience. His career path has seen him develop through stints with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he established himself as one of the game’s premier No.9s across nine standout seasons.
Cook’s representative career speaks to his calibre. He debuted for New South Wales in State of Origin in 2018 and later that year earned Australian Kangaroos honours. Across his career, he has amassed 240+ NRL appearances, 17 State of Origin caps, and represented Australia on four occasions, alongside earning the prestigious Dally M Hooker of the Year Award.
Durability and consistency have been hallmarks of Cook’s career, playing 23+ games in each of the past nine seasons and featuring in 17 finals matches, including a Grand Final appearance in 2021.
