Damien Cook is one of the NRL’s most respected and consistent performers, renowned for his explosive speed out of dummy-half, elite fitness and leadership on and off the field. A proud Helensburgh Tigers junior, Damien’s career has been defined by persistence, professionalism and sustained excellence at the highest level.

Making his NRL debut with the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2013, Damien returned to the club in 2025 after more than a decade at the top level. His journey also included the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he established himself as one of the game’s premier No.9s across nine standout seasons.

Damien’s representative career reflects his standing in the game. He made his New South Wales State of Origin debut in 2018 before earning selection for the Australian Kangaroos later that year. Across his career, he has amassed more than 240 NRL appearances, 17 State of Origin caps and four Australian appearances, as well as being recognised as the Dally M Hooker of the Year.

Durability and consistency have been hallmarks of Damien’s career, with 23 or more NRL games in each of the past nine seasons and 17 finals appearances, including a Grand Final appearance in 2021.

Now in the latter stage of his playing career, Damien continues to bring elite experience, leadership and professionalism to every environment.
