Cathrine Mahoney is an English born, curly haired Capricorn who’s never seen without a red lip. She moved to Sydney in 2000, partly on the advice of a horoscope column, and is a confessed oversharer whose only filter is the one on her Instagram photos.

After two decades as a celebrity publicist for Sony Music, the Nine Network and Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa, Cathrine quit her day job to chase her dream of telling stories. Her memoir, Currently Between Husbands (Simon & Schuster), won readers over with its mix of hilarity and honesty, and she narrated the audiobook herself. She is now working on her first novel and her second non fiction title, and has written a national column for Body+Soul, Tales from an Over Sharer, as well as pieces for Mamamia, 9Honey and Kidspot.

Cathrine co-hosts two Mamamia podcasts. Unleashed is the hugely successful podcast for Gen X women who need a laugh, landing in the top 30 of the Apple Podcasts chart every Tuesday when new episodes drop, alongside actress Mary Coustas, Hollywood producer Bruna Papandrea, stylist Grace Lam, GP Dr Ginni Mansberg and New York Times bestselling author Sally Hepworth. Well is a health and wellness show with Dr Ginni. Previously, she created and hosted So, I Quit My Day Job (Nine), featuring more than 150 guests, and co-hosted two chart toppers: Not Another Parenting Podcast (Nova), which hit number one in the parenting charts in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, and The 456 Club (Mamamia), which reached number two nationally.

On stage, she performs her one woman show, I’ll Show You Mine, with a national tour planned for 2027. On screen, she narrates the music documentary series Memory Lane, available on 9Now in Australia and Apple TV globally. With US management, she’s writing her first TV script and dreaming of the day she overshares on Graham Norton’s couch. Cathrine is an ambassador for the Raise Foundation, which mentors young people across Australia, and lives in Sydney with her teenage son, Louis, whom she adores embarrassing daily.
